The BID Board and Team
The Fleet Business Improvement District (BID) Board is made up of 12 Directors. Eight of the Directors represent levy paying businesses across different sectors. The Board also includes a Community Director, Company Secretary and representatives of both Hart District Council and Fleet Town Council (both also in the BID area). The Board is supported by a BID Manager.
Profiles of the Board of Directors and BID team are below:
Emma Molyneux – Chair. Emma has over 30 year’s retail experience working for retailers such as Harrods and Selfridges and is the owner of Experience, a family-run ladies Boutique established in Fleet in 1995. Emma leads the Marketing working group and was the Chair of the Fleet Business Forum which developed the BID Proposal. She has been instrumental in delivering many events and activities in Fleet over recent years including Fleet Fashion Week, Paint Fleet Pink Week and Paint Fleet Blue week. Contact Emma.
Bruce Bulgin – Vice Chair. Bruce has over 35 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry and is a co-founding Partner of Chadney Bulgin which was established in Fleet in 1993. Bruce leads the Money Saving working group identifying opportunities to save money for levy payers in the BID area and is a member of the Events & Markets and Marketing working groups. Ian Fuell – Finance. Ian is the Manager of Waitrose in Fleet. He has worked in Waitrose for the last 22 years and brings experience of the substantial involvement Waitrose has supporting BIDs throughout the country. Ian leads the Finance working group providing oversight for the effective management of the financial aspects of the BID. Contact Ian.
Michael Butcher – Company Secretary. Michael’s corporate experience spans the IT, education and finance industries. He was a member of the audit committee for Loughborough University and chairman of the audit committee of the 2nd largest pension scheme in the UK. He was the Chair of Fleet Future, set up at the instigation of the local councils in 2012 to build a vision, develop and deliver a 5 year plan based on how the community wanted the town of Fleet to move forward, part of which informed the Business Plan for the BID. Caroleanne Baker. Caroleanne is the Manager of the Hart Shopping Centre. With over 27 years’ experience she has significant management expertise and benefits from sharing knowledge with a shopping centre run by the same Managing Agent and part of the BID in Cardiff. She was a member of the Fleet Business Forum and is leading the Improving the Experience working group looking at projects such as improving signage around the town and parking schemes to benefit businesses in the BID area. David Stanton. David is a co-Director of Reach for the Stars Group which owns Propaganda Music Canteen in Fleet as well as four other restaurants and bars throughout Hampshire. He has significant experience in the restaurant and entertainment industry, is leading the Safety and Security Working Group and represents the Night Time Economy in the BID area. Contact David.
Tyler Harman. Tyler is the owner of 217 Menswear in Fleet. He has 12 years’ specialist retail experience working for independent retailers and has a thorough understanding of the issues they face. He was a member of the Fleet Business Forum and is a member of both the Improving the Experience, Money Saving and Marketing working groups. Contact Tyler.
James Kirkpatrick. James is the owner of the Fleet McDonalds and other McDonalds restaurants in the area. He was an active member of the Guildford BID Board and brings a comprehensive understanding and experience of how BIDs can make a significant difference to a town for businesses in all sectors and of all sizes. Simon Clarke. Simon is the owner of Tackle Up in Fleet and leading specialist fishing supplier CatfishPro, which he founded to follow his passion of fishing following his corporate career at organisations such as IBM. He was a member of the Fleet Business Forum and is a member of Money Saving and the Events & Markets working groups. Contact Simon.
Sue Tilley – Community Representative. Sue has been a Fleet Town Councillor and a founding member of Fleet Future. She was a member of the Fleet Business Forum and has also established and supported many local initiatives including the Fleet Jazz Club and the Fleet & District Festival Committee. In her corporate career, and as an independent management consultant, Sue developed and implemented digital learning strategies for major public and private organisations across UK, Europe and the Middle East. Alan Oliver – Hart District Council. Alan is Hart District Council’s representative on the BID Board. He is the Cabinet Member for the Contracts
Planning Committee and has been a councillor representing the Fleet Ward since May 2012. Contact Alan.
Bob Schofield – Fleet Town Council. Bob is the Chairman of Fleet Town Council and is their representative on the BID Board and was a member of the Fleet Business Forum. Contact Bob.
Tracey Shrimpton – BID Manager. Tracey has 25 years’ experience in marketing and project management and, for the last 3 years, has been working as a marketing consultant supporting small and medium companies and encouraging people to support their local independent businesses. She was a member of the Fleet Business Forum and is now working as the BID Manager on a part time basis to support the BID to deliver key projects to benefit levy payers. Contact Tracey.
